Now we understand that USS Australia is entirely
different other so higher education consultants. Taking all the pains
they paved us the way to the never expected dream land of kangaroos. Obstacles...obstacles...obstacles.
They were at the front in every deeds of mine. They even made us confident
and optimistic. Finally by the god's blessing, everything ended in a great
note.
Thanks to Mr. Vasan and USS Australia - Cochin

Hi I landed in Melbourne on 16th October 2007 through USS Australia. Mr.
Rejeesh Gopinath and Mrs. Bindu Balasubramanyam, the representatives of
USS Australia at Cochin did a really good job for my visa processing.
It was their assurance and support that made me to go ahead confidently
with my visa processing. The day I landed in Melbourne, I was greeted
with warmth and care. I was picked up from the Melbourne airport by the
USS Australia members and was offered immediate accommodation .I was also
assisted in getting a good part time job as well. The most important thing
of all is that am feeling “Home away from Home” here in Melbourne. For
all the happiness I am experiencing here in Melbourne, I have to say a
Special thanks to Mr. Vasan Srinivasan and his family too...... And I
am really proud to be a part of USS Australia family.

I reached Melbourne on 31st of August 2007 at 4 AM. USS Australia crew
came there to pick me from airport. They hosted a great breakfast and
organized a place to live in. USS Australia provide me all the information
regarding the course and course related field. When I landed in Melbourne
USS Australia helped me with accommodation, part time employment and in
every other possible way. We also celebrate special occasions like birthdays
of students who come through them at Vasan Uncle’s home. Another peculiarity
of USS Australia is all of their services are free of cost. I was really
excited to meet all the Indian students and others in Melbourne. I am
really glad to have an interaction with them. I am feeling at home. USS
Australia had created a huge circle of students from different parts of
India. I get a lot of friends from them. My small advice to future students
who come to Australia through USS Australia will definitely have a bright
future and a successful career.

Studying overseas has always been my dream. On August 1st 2007 was the
day when my dream turned into reality. I take this opportunity to appreciate
the excellent service and immense support offered to me by USS Australia,
Cochin. Since the day first landed in Melbourne I am being taken care
for my accommodation and part time job. I am so happy to have met new
friends in Melbourne and successfully commenced my course Diploma in community
welfare from Stotts College, and the hospitality of USS Australia and
their guidance in selecting courses and universities is great when compared
to other consultancies. Unlike other consultancies USS Australia did not
charge any money for the services provided to me. At USS Australia I seen
an organisation dedicated to help the student community in foreign land
with no monitory benefits. I am in Melbourne today because of USS Australia.
I wish USSA a great success.

“My dream came true”, I can say that I am one of the luckiest in this
world, I went to a 3 letter agency in Chennai, India. After getting their
feed back I got upset and I thought to kill my dream called Australian
education. By luck, my uncle’s friend told about USS Australia. With lots
of fear and stress I stepped in to USS Australia. They guided me and counseled
me about courses and colleges in Melbourne, and to get more clarification
about course they gave me a contact of a student of commercial cookery,
Carrick institute, Melbourne. It was sheer luck to see him in India, and
after meeting him I decided to go through USS Australia. He advised me
with information about the college and course and one thing I remembered
that he told that it is his duty and he said every student owes USS Australia
much more than anything. To be frank I thought that he is boasting about
USS Australia, but after I landed Melbourne I felt a lot for having second
thought about USS AUSTRALIA. I arrived on September 2007 till now I never
felt home sick. Because USS Australia and its family of students made
me feel am in my home. Now I started my classes and got a part time job.
I never had and I don’t think that I will face any problem when USS Australia
is there to help and support me. I really want to thank my parents and
uncle for the efforts they took to send me Australia

My ambition to do further studies in Australia was excitingly motivated
the moment I came to know about USS Australia from my fiancé. After receiving
many orientations from different sectors of my family and friends about
being all alone in a different country, I started becoming reluctant to
pursue my ambition, until my fiancé motivated me after a detailed follow
up on USS Australia. To be honest, the sorrow of leaving my dear and near
ones back home and the bit of fear factor of going to a new country was
my constant companion all the way from Chennai to Melbourne. But it all
surpassed as soon as I was out of Melbourne airport, and was received
by a warm set of friends from USS Australia .In fact I was pleasantly
surprised as how Vasan uncle had everything arranged, right from the airport
pickup, to my instant temporary accommodation, and further to a permanent
accommodation with a group of other students who were just as pleasing.
The constant support from USS Australia that we receive in searching for
a part time job and also scheduling interviews makes you feel important
and the being a part of a big family. With this little time in Australia,
I have come to know, how lucky I have been to be a part of the USS family,
and to have chosen to come to Australia through no one else but them.

Studying abroad was our big ambition in our life. After completing
graduation, together we approached “CIGI”- Centre for Information and
Guidance India, one of the well reputed guidance centers in Kerala. When
we told them about our ambition, they informed us to contact with USS
Australia Cochin Branch. It was really a turning point in our life. We
got admission from one of the leading colleges in Melbourne. Then, every
thing went very fast, as fast as we did not even realize that we had our
visa stamped. We flew from Cochin to Melbourne with a huge amount of dreams.
We did not have any idea that what we have to do after getting down in
Melbourne Airport. But when we reached, it was an unforgettable &
charming experience for us. There were two USS staffs inviting us in Airport.
They received us from there, took us to our temporary accommodation &
helped us in enrolling in our college. When they brought us to the USS
office – Melbourne, all of them received us their own family members.
They gave us valid information and advice about how to live in Australia,
the traditions, culture & custom that is followed here in Australia.
We consider Mr Vasan & his wife as our Uncle & Chechi (Sister)
and all their staffs as our elder brothers and sisters… Now we are going
to build a future with them.

International degree would be the dream of any student who is
keen to achieve acumen in his stream. And one such dream of mine became
a reality because of the promising USS Australia. It was a time when I
tried a couple of consultants from whom I heard that arriving in Australia
, in my case, was something impossible .Just then I found the USS and
literally they made the impossible possible. The impossible task was that
they got my visa within a short span of 25 days from the date of applying
for the visa. I landed in Melbourne on Aug 5th and I went to my University
on the 8th of Aug. I was not alone, Mr Vasan Srinivasan was there with
me to make sure that I got enrolled in the University. I have to mention
the fact that one of my neighbors tried to make it to Australia but he
could not make it as his consultant was no good and he did not take my
advice of consulting the USS. The hospitality of the USS Australia has
to be mentioned .Even the complex of things seemed to be easier with the
help of USS Australia’s staff who were very instrumental in getting me
through all the formalities. The most important thing of all is that they
make me feel at home and the feeling that they are there for me in Melbourne
makes me feel more secured. The fact that has to be said is that they
never aimed at monetary values. I have completed my course and I am working
as a full time project coordinator in a well established manufacturing
company in Melbourne. I am happily settled now and the credit should go

I always had a dream and aspiration to live and study overseas. This is

The day I landed in Australia I was picked up from the airport by the

environment with multicultural students who had also come through USS
Australia .Then I was served with nice delicious Indian food and a welcome
party similar to a fresher’s party as we do in school and college days.
Not only the parties but also celebrate multicultural carnivals programmes
like Diwali, Onam, Dussera, Christmas. Moreover I was also organized with

Yash Duggal dreamt long of studying abroad. By the end of his undergraduate
he had the urge to try something new, something refreshing and reinvigorating.
He wanted to challenge himself, to jump headfirst into a culture he knew
nothing about and to surround himself with people and places he had only
read about. Flooded with a sense of trepidation mixed with the excitement
that comes with starting a new chapter in one's life story, Yash packed
his bags for Melbourne With its vibrant culture, rich yet tumultuous and
unique location, Australia had always interested him, because of the prevailing
knowledge that it was the best place for advanced training, equality,
and highest professionalism. The rest was quick, consultation with an
Educational agent in Powai, who arranged admission, filed his visa and
promised airport pickup and services in Melbourne, all for a sum of money.
Three months later Yash stood outside Melbourne International airport
waiting to be picked up. After hours of lingering completely at the mercy
of freezing Australian winter, Yash realized, consultants had broken their
word, he was on his own. What came up next few weeks was shoddier. Yash
had to put with nine other boys in one room at a backpacker lodge, countenance
the hurdles of enrolment and strange university comportments, incessant
hunt for work and accommodation, cultural shock and loneliness. Yash quickly
discovered, it was one thing to read about Australia in books and quite
another to live it Even though the idea of studying abroad sounds likes
a big vacation, it can be very emotionally challenging. It’s not easy
to be removed from the environment you’re accustomed to. You have to be
prepared to start a different lifestyle without the connections that you
have at home. You can’t just expect to find friends, you have to try hard
to meet new people and make new friendships. For students who endure the
ordeal, the experience can be difficult and painful, to say the least.
In some cases, the difficulties transcend the shortage of financial resources,
and may embrace the intractable problem of, the obstacles of immigration,
the perennial problem of cultural adjustment, and the nuisance presented
by xenophobia. Living and studying in Australia is as difficult and complex
as the nation itself. Australia has enormous resources, challenges, and
opportunities, which we fondly call “Australian education Dream."
Ironically my experience was different.
Studying abroad is something I would recommend to anyone. It’s a learning
experience, which cannot be attained, at your home campus or India. There’s
no better way to understand another culture than to be surrounded by it.
My decision to come to Australia wasn't really a difficult one. As
I researched destinations, my options were narrowed down fairly quickly
to Australia. Did a great deal of exploring on the Internet and stumbled
upon the USS web site. The fact that the company was based in Melbourne
and that its Director Mr. Vasan Srinivasan was the first person of Indian
origin to contest for a Member of Parliament election in Australia appeared
promising. USS furnished my visa application and in three months I was
at the Melbourne International airport, welcomed by Mr. Vasan Srinivasan,
the Director himself. While housing experiences and employment woes are
the biggest downfalls of studying abroad, I would say that I never had
a bad incident. USS chose me a fine apartment and had it set for my welcoming
day at Melbourne. Credits to them, I now hold the position of the Manager,
Federation of Indian Association Victoria, a massive umbrella organisation
for which Mr. Vasan Srinivasan is the patron. I must say that I was incredibly
astounded with the quality of what I received compared to what I expected.
I love being a student at University and am already looking into applying
for my Permanent Residentship. USS provided me with so many little things
that together made my whole academic experience worthwhile.
Over a year in Melbourne, I have moved along, with USS allying, gradually
improving with each boulder I knocked over on the way became more and
more satisfying. Now that USS is launching its newspaper, which will provide
students with study abroad tips. I am pleased to give this information
on USS, which will benefit every student, regardless of whether or not
you choose to consult them. I thank USS and feel of it as an incredible
privilege to be involved in writing this article.

I am Vijendran C , doing Master of Engineering systems at University of

Life has been fantastic since I landed in Australia and I am sure to have
bright future in this land of opportunities. The silent man behind this
is Mr. Vasan Srinivasan. He introduced me to life in Australia! He helped
me to choose the right university and course which suits me the best and
I am sure I will finish it in style. The University of Ballarat is one
of the top universities in regional Australia. It has excellent laboratory
facilities. The students can access the internet for free. Professors
here are highly qualified, friendly and helpful. The university library
has a wide range of collection of books. We can also access the public
libraries in the city for free. The University conducts many multi cultural
meets for us to know our community and mingle with all others. The university
is located at 8 km from the city of Ballarat. Ballarat is a calm town.
The living cost is comparatively lower than metropolitan cities. Living
in a regional place like Ballarat, we can save a lot of money on rent,
food and transport. There are Indian shops and a restaurant here, which
makes us feel at home. People are very friendly here. Crime rate is very
low. There are lakes, parks and notable spots like Soverign Hill, where
we can spend leisure time. I must thank Universal Student Services ( USS
) , an organization started by Mr.Vasan in Chennai, to help the Indian
Students to pursue their studies in Australia. Without USS I wouldn't
have been here! Mr. Kathick Rajasekaran and Miss. Sunitha, who runs the
USS Chennai office have always been there to guide me through my visa
documentations. I recommend all my mates down there in India, interested
in Aussie life to walk to down to USS to have a bright and secured future!
I welcome Indians along with Mr.Vasan, who is striving hard to build up
our community in Victoria. We will be more than happy to receive you'll,
giving you'll temporary accommodation and guiding you with tips to
find a part time work. I thank once again Mr.Vasan and his team for providing
all these facilities to me when I landed here in Australia.

I came to know about Mr. Vasan and Universal Student Services from one
of my friends Pradyum Murlidhar In December of 2004. Mr. Vasan helped
in guiding me as to which Course and University to Choose in Australia.
The chennai office is being looked after by Mr. Karthik and Ms. Sunita.
The two of them were a great help In the visa process. The Australian
visa process is one of the hardest in the world and they helped us in
each stage of the process. Without their help it wouldn't have been
so easy. The best thing about their services is that the services do not
stop in India but continue into Australia. They had arranged for a pick
up from the Melbourne airport. What's even better is that they provided
us with temporary accommodation in Ballarat until we found a place of
our own. U.S.S. also helped us in finding part-time jobs in Australia.
These kind of services are not given by any other consulting agency. This
organization works in a very professional manner and best of all they
do not charge for their consultation and there are no hidden costs unlike
other agencies. Mr. Vasan keeps close contact with all his students. Mr.
Vasan is a very influential person and a well known man in the Indian
and Australian community in Australia. Thus I advise students to come

in Australia.

It's not easy even to think of studying Overseas and live there. But
Mr. Vasan and Universal Students Services made them for me in a wink of
an eye! If it was not Mr.Vasan Srinivasan and his staffs Mr. Karthik and
Madam Sunitha, I would have just seen Australia and Melbourne in our School
Maps. I was so scared to be in a place of people who are entirely different
even in their color. But the very presence of Mr.Vasan at Melbourne Airport
made me feel that i was in safe hands. Most important, when somebody helps
you, you think of them for that minute and forget them. If somebody feeds
you in an unknown place our own traditional food, it makes a world of
difference. Nobody would dream of Indian Food when they land in Melbourne.
The hospitality of USS and their guidance in selecting courses and universities
is great when compared to others consultants. They took so much care and
they continue to do the same, in each and every move we do here, right
from lodging applications for VISA, University Selection, Finding Accommodation,
Work Permit, Part-Time. This is the greatest aspect of USS which no other
consultants do in India. It was so unbelievable that they did not even
charge a single penny for their entire service they provided in Chennai
and for which they continue to provide here. He is family for most of
the Indian students here like me. I wish USS a great success and I wish
that every student who thinks of Australia as their educational destination
should immediately think of the Magic Three Letter Word “USS”.

I landed in Melbourne on 27th July of 2004 at 8.30pm.I was practically
stranded in the airport for couple of hours. I called up the agent in
India but the response was very bad. It put me under such a lot of mental
stress. It was 11pm and it was freezing outside and it was frustrating
to know that the promises made in Chennai weren't fulfilled. I found
it really tough being away from home and it took about a month to get
settled down here. I got to know about Mr.Vasan through my friend who
had made it to Melbourne thorough USS. Mr.Vasan was the first Indian in
Australia who stood for the MP ELECTIONS in Australian Political history.
USS has helped me in every possible way in Melbourne. At USS for the first
time I see an organization dedicated to help the student community in
foreign land with no monetary gains. USS helped me with accommodation,
part time employment. I would strongly recommend USS to any student with
aims of pursuing education in Melbourne and would be happy to answer any

The USS milestone in my life… From the moment I saw the plane land on
the Tullamarine airport runway, fear began to cloud my mind on how I am
going to survive in a land of strangers. I was totally unsure of what
I would be doing next. All I had within me is the hope that Mr. Vasan
Srinivasan had given me before I left home town. The moment when my baggage
clearance was over and when I moved into the waiting lounge I got a huge
sigh of relief after I noticed Mr. Vasan and his members ready there to
receive me after my long flight journey. And yes, I do remember his words
that he told me at Chennai, “You will be smiling from day 1 in Australia
cause you have trust in me”, and I was glad that it came out true. After
my arrival into this strange country Mr. Vasan was the first contact who
introduced me to the Indian band wagon which changed my life entirely.
I had very good friends who took care of me as a family member and Mr.
Vasan made sure that I had good accommodation till I got settled in Ballarat.
He also made sure that we felt at home, offering us dinner at his place
and making us comfortable. The rest of the days from then on have been
a pleasure with every step being assisted by Mr. Vasan. I am sure that
no consultant would be so dedicated to an aspiring student and be his
well wisher as USS is and I would say that USS is second to none when
it comes to deciding ones’ future in Australia. I strongly vote that USS
has surpassed my expectations as a consultant and I feel that I am a member
of the Indian family in Victoria headed by Mr. Vasan Srinivasan.

Hi!!! We are Madhu and Shyam, from the University of Ballarat doing MIT

3 letter educational consultant. But our doubts arouse a couple of days
before the departure from Chennai. We still weren’t sure of our accommodation
and the airport pickup. We then contacted our friend at Chennai who had
told us about USS a couple of weeks back. He then referred us to Mr. Vasan
Srinivasan who was heading the team of volunteers helping Indians coming
to Victoria. We then contacted him and told him about our queries. He
then told us to be rest assured. The day we landed in Melbourne Mr. Vasan
was there expecting us and greeted us with utmost warmth and care. We
instantly felt at home and were taken to his home where we enjoyed a hearty
conversation over dinner. Mr. Vasan also made sure we had good accommodation
for the initial days spent in Melbourne. We were in the good company of
friends who took care of us treating us as a part of their group. At the
day of enrolment Mr. Vasan drove us to the University and helped us enroll
in our course assisting in every step. He then arranged us a home very
near to all amenities in Ballarat for us to be comfortable. He was also
with us till we assured him that we had finally got settled and comfortable.
The USS team was more of friends and family than consultants to us. These
services were above par than any other consultant and we are proud to

My relationship with UNIVERSAL STUDENT SERVICES and MR VASAN in particular
was the best thing that could have happened to me. I considered many consultants
before approaching them. The moment I landed in their office, I was convinced
that they were the best in the business. As most of you know getting a
student visa to Australia is a big process. The guidance I received from
them regarding the universities was exemplary. The ever reliable KARTHICK
and SUNITHA (Chennai office) were brilliant at handling the whole visa
process. The professionalism shown by them was second to none. I am always
indebted to them. Universal student services do not charge the students
any consultation fees unlike other agents who charge exorbitant amounts.
Their services are totally free. The unique thing about this consultancy
is the services they provide after arriving in Australia which no other
consultancy can provide. MR Vasan, an Indian expatriate, has a great deal
of concern for Indian students in Australia. The day I arrived in Melbourne,
he was there at the airport to receive me. I am in a city called ballarat
which is about an hour and a half from Melbourne. MR Vasan took all the
pains and shifted me to ballarat that very night. He had arranged for
a temporary accommodation in ballarat until I got a house to rent .This
kind of service can be provided only by Mr. Vasan and universal student
services. He helped me a great deal in finding part time jobs .Mr. Vasan
still calls us and finds out as to how we are doing .Such is the love
and affection he has for Indian students. MR Vasan is a very influential
person and is well known and highly respected here. So I recommend the
students in India to come through universal student services to have a
great future in Australia. Good luck “mates”.

the Visa process. The moment we landed in Melbourne Mr.Vasan and his crew
members were there to receive us in the airport. I am a student doing
my Master's at the University of Ballarat. On the day I was received
received in Melbourne, Mr.Vasan took all pains in shifting us to a temporary
accommodation in Ballarat. He also hosted a dinner for the Indian students
at his residence. Unlike other Consultants Mr.Vasan did not charge any
amount for the services rendered to us. All his services are at free of
cost. Even after arriving in Ballarat, Mr.Vasan calls us every week and
enquires about our well-being. He is very influential in Australia. He
also helped me in getting a part time job. Come to Australia through USS
