Bachelors in Nursing
This flexible course gives students a broad understanding of the field of nursing practice, promoting nursing as a caring, person-centred, and scientifically based profession. Central to the mission of this course is the preparation of Division One registered nurses who work to enhance the quality of healthcare experienced by individuals, families, groups, and communities. This course strives to provide graduates who will lead and contribute to innovative health care practice, positive health care outcomes, and new knowledge development.
First year: Students study alongside other health professional students in order
to develop an understanding of the nurse's role within the broader context of
the health care environment and workforce.
Second and third years: Students apply their theoretical learning and understandings to a broad range of clinical experiences.
